Project 2 - Narrative

So we have started the 2nd project. I need to work back in to my first project, render my bugs a bit better and re do my buttons. We had to choose an artist and their work and do 2 pieces based on that painting. Ive already chosen my artist and got a few ideas forming. My artist is Edward Hopper. I wanted to do people behind the painted windows. I cant believe though that i chose 'Early Sunday Morning' , and just realized that Shaun Tan has done exactly the same thing in the ' Lost Thing', however he has edited it into a future style. So after discussing it with Aubrey, i think i might draw the street in the 1800's, go for a loose pencil sketch, might water colour it a bit in sepia , with the shadows. Hopefully because i have thought of a few ideas already, i can start on developing on mediums, and getting my final pieces perfect. My second piece i want to do an old fat man making something futuristic and robotic, and his window shows the past with old factories, however in my first piece the 1800's , in the window the fat man will be in view point.
I really want to get better drawing people, so Aubrey suggested going to old peoples home and asking to draw the residents. This will help me find my old fat guy.
